Franklin St. Food Pantry

Eliminating Hunger

As one of the largest food pantries in Cambria County, the Franklin Street Food Pantry provides
a three to five-day food supply for hundreds of food insecure families each month. It is the
passion of our volunteers to help eliminate hunger in the city of Johnstown.
n the city of Johnstown.
Our pantry is open every Tuesday from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM. Senior box distribution is the last Tuesday of each month. Our volunteers are happy to provide assistance to those needing a little extra help. Bridges Cooperative Ministry is also a site for people in the community who need an Emergency Food Supply on other days of the week, whether they have missed their usual panty, are in transition, or this is their first time using a pantry.”
Volunteers truly are the heart and soul of our Food Pantry. We could not operate without them. Whether you have one day a week to volunteer or one day a year, we can find the right opportunity that will match your interests. By generously giving of your time, talent, and energy, you can make a significant impact.
Barb Hunt, Food Pantry Coordinator, was one of only eight nationwide recipients of the  2016 Dollar General Serving Others Award. She received the award at a special ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee on August 9, 2016.
